Special characteristics of high performance soft¬ware for complex systems simulations
Abstract
The characteristics of high performance software for complex systems simulations are presented in this paper using extreme events in atmosphere and ocean modeling as an example. An approach to formalization of the structure of scientific computing software is discussed, which combines SOA and REST concepts according to mapping of software components to parallel computer architecture. Software architecture evaluation criteria based on analysis of parametric performance models is suggested.
