Developing a Prototype Intelligent System for Maintenance and Repair of Aerospace Products Based on Multi-Agent Technologies
Abstract
Purpose: Developing a new approach to the management of aerospace products maintenance and repair. Methods: Multi-agent technology along with ontology-based representation and processing of knowledge. Results: An approach has been developed to the design of an intelligent system supporting the maintenance and repair which would provide reliability and economic feasibility when using complex technical products. This approach presupposes the development of three models: a conceptual model for the product reflecting its physical and functional structure; an agent model in which each operation object unit has a corresponding software agent implementing a certain inner management cycle; and a cyber-physical model visualizing all the information necessary for the user. Scenarios of using the system are provided, illustrating the basic principles of its functioning and practical application. Practical value: Systems based on the suggested approach can be either fully autonomous or integrated into a complex with the existing PLM-systems. Using multi-agent technologies can help to increase the reliability of a complex technical product during its operation. Also, it can minimize the maintenance and repair expenses.Published
