The importance of beaconing in car-to-car communications to ensure road safety is emphasized. A method to compute the probability of successful beacon reception in IEEE 802.11p network is presented. The derivations are conducted under the assumptions of arbitrary beacons arrival
rate and the absence of "hidden" nodes.
