An analysis of properties and characteristics of the biotechnical system "patient - artificial limb - environment", which is necessary for considering an estimation of the efficiency and individual adjustment of an artificial lower limb, is presented in the article. Various study methods of human motion are analyzed and their opportunities are determined for simulation of biotechnical systems of the given class. The necessity of the phased complex simulation of such biotechnical system with the use of these methods are proved.
