The features of block error-correcting codes application in the command radio control systems without a reverse information channel are discussed. The nature of the control process requires to make code choices based on the compromise between the probabilities of missing and erroneous message reception in a single transmission. It is shown that, depending on the characteristics of radio channel and transmission reliability requirements, various options of using codes with the detection and correction of errors are possible. The gain in reliability during the transition from a single transmission to repetition of messages with adoption of the solution on the given number of matches is estimated.
