Acousto-electronic Devices Processing Signals from Multi-Element Linear Antenna Arrays

In this article, the issues of spatial processing of antenna array’s signals by a little-known class of acoustoelectronic devices with a reradiating array are systematically reviewed from the uniform methodical standpoint. The promising potentials of the analog processors on the surface acoustic waves, that use anisotropic substrates and are few-elements based at the same time, are pointed out. Block diagrams of acousto-electronic devices used as diagram-forming schematics for multi-element antenna arrays are described.
