A multichannel spectral device conducting contactless spectrum analysis of optical signals has been considered. This device allows researching sources of optical radiation which direct contact with a field is either impossible or undesirable. Firstly such sources include the liquid propellant rocket engine. The device being developed allows carrying out diagnostics of the rocket engine in real time to prevent emergencies. Development results of a laboratory model of the multichannel spectral device and results of its pilot study have been given.
